Real talk: does anyone else totally not get what is ostensibly the mass consensus on Everything Everything’s first album Man Alive being too experimental and try-hard and excessive? Every second of every track is unstoppably hypnotic and catchy and spectacular just because a synth isn’t bolstered by 4 on the floor rhythms doesn’t mean it isn’t totally fucking great.
